Carrie is an educator who has always had a passion for using and integrating technology in meaningful and powerful ways. Carrie is the Technology Integration Specialist for the Nevada Community School District. She assists teachers and students with infusing technology into the curriculum while inspiring them to think and learn in new ways. Carrie also is an assistant teaching professor at Iowa State University, in which she works with pre-service teachers on designing effective courses for online, blended, and hybrid learning environments. Carrie is a Past President of ITEC (Iowa Technology and Education Connection) and served on the Executive Board for several years. Before moving to Nevada, Carrie was an elementary classroom teacher (11 years) and served as a technology coach (2 years) for the Oelwein Community School District. Carrie graduated from Wartburg College with a BA in Elementary Education and Teaching and earned her MEd in Curriculum and Instructional Technology from Iowa State University.
